Myrtle Beach International Airport Awarded $10 Million from the FAA through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law - Airport Terminals Program

The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) has been awarded $10,000,000 as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – Airport Terminals Program (BIL-ATP) after its application was selected from airports across the country. This award will help fund the structural elements of the Concourse A Expansion project, which is a 2-level, 6-gate expansion to meet existing and future demand.

"The upcoming terminal expansion will improve the airport experience for travelers, and we are grateful for the financial assistance to commence work on this project," stated Judi Olmstead, Director of Airports. "Due to the rapidly growing demand for travel, the additional gates are a necessary upgrade and we're excited to offer travelers an enhanced airport experience once the project is finished."

The terminal expansion is currently in the pre-construction phase, with groundbreaking expected in the Spring.
